Salvation Army Launches Christmas Campaigns

Your chance to lend a helping hand to a family in the Fort Frances area this Christmas.

The Salvation Army is back with its Adopt-a-Family and Sponsor-a-Family programs.

Auxiliary -Captain Arthur Heathcote says the nice thing is that sponsorship leaves the shopping to the Salvation Army.

“For a single person it would be $150 and for a family of four it would be $260 dollars and we would go out to buy a hamper and the toys,” explains Heathcote.

Call the Salvation Army for exact details on how to help.

In the meantime, Heathcote adds that their kettle campaign will also soon kick-off for another season.

“On Friday, November the 12th, we will be starting our Christmas Kettle campaign throughout the community. So we’ll be looking for volunteers to stand and attend the kettles as well.”

The annual Christmas appeal will also soon launch with all of the funds raised used locally.
