Ont. Reports Most New Cases Since June 4th

Ontario has 835 new cases of COVID-19, and over 80% are not fully vaccinated or their status isn’t known.

That is the most cases the province has seen in one day since June 4th, when it reported 914 new infections.

The seven-day rolling average is now at 686 cases per day.

162 people are in ICU due to COVID-19, 154 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and eight are fully vaccinated.

Health Minister Christine Elliott is tweeting that 20,679,316 vaccine doses have been administered so far in Ontario. 82.7 per cent of Ontarians aged 12 and older have one dose, and nearly 75.9 per cent have two doses.

343 people are hospitalized with COVID-19. 313 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 30 are fully vaccinated.
