Ontario’s new COVID-19 cases are over 500 for another day, many of whom are unvaccinated.
The province confirmed 578 new infections Saturday morning.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says 408 of those, or 70 per cent, are unvaccinated people, while 59 are partly vaccinated against COVID-19.
This is the third day in a row with over 500 new infections.
136 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, 11 are fully vaccinated and 125 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
Alongside those patients, 111 people are in ICU due to COVID-19, only one of whom is fully vaccinated. The rest are either not fully vaccinated or the province doesn’t know their vaccine status.
