CN Developing Extreme Weather Plan

CN is reaching out to the public for input into the development of an Interim Extreme Weather Plan.

The plan intends to outline operational procedures the railway will take when there’s an elevated forest fire risk in areas they pass through.

A fire that destroyed much of the B.C. community of Lytton in July is suspected by some of being started by a passing train.

The cause is still under investigation.

CN is collecting comments on its proposed plan until the end of August.

You do so by going to the website www.cn.ca/extremeweatherplan or by contacting CN via phone at 1-888-888-5909.
