The town of Fort Frances now has a new Chief Administrative Officer.
Faisal Anwar replaces Doug Brown, who retired earlier this year.
A town release says Anwar brings considerable experience in municipal administration.
He was last working in Morden, Manitoba, as its City Manager.
The town used an outside consulting firm to assist in the search.
“Council is very excited to welcome Faisal to our community. We feel that he will be a strong leader and that he is well suited to address the challenges that we face in rebuilding and diversifying our local economy. I look forward to working closely with him in the coming years.” stated Mayor June Caul in the release.
