Two New Cases Added By NWHU

For the first time since July 2, the Northwestern Health Unit is reporting two new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Both of the new cases are within the Rainy River district.

There are now three active cases in the health unit’s region.

The other is in the Kenora area.

A total of 104,814 doses of vaccine have been administered to date, with 79.7 per cent of those 18 and older having received at least one shot. Sixty-seven per cent are fully vaccinated.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit had no new cases to report Tuesday.

There were 127 new cases across Ontario.

Minnesota’s Koochiching County recorded one new case as the state saw a tripling of cases since Monday.
