Ontario’s new COVID-19 cases are evening out, as the province confirms 209 new infections.
That’s 140 fewer than the 349 reported this time last week.
The province also reported nine more deaths related to the virus.
There were no new cases in the Northwestern Health Unit reported on the weekend.
It still have five active cases, including two in the Rainy River District.
Just over 56 per cent of those 18 and older in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area are now fully vaccinated.
The figure dips to 52 per cent at 12 and older.
Fifty-four per cent of residents in Minnesota’s Koochiching County are fully vaccinated.
Because of the July 4th holiday, Minnesota is not reporting on new cases until tomorrow.
