The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is watching the forest fire situation closely during the extreme heatwave.
This follows the complete evacuation of the village of Lytton, B.C. and several other regions following record-setting temperatures.
A fast-moving forest destroyed that community on Wednesday.
There is an outdoor and campfire ban across most of Northwestern Ontario.
There are 44 active fires in the region. Thirteen are considered not under control.
