Province Adds 346 Cases

Another 346 people are testing positive for COVID-19 across Ontario.

Even though the daily case count has continued to drop, variants are still spreading.

Further testing of positive cases from earlier updates found that 310 more people in the province have variants of concern.

Most of those are the Alpha and Gamma variants, which make up 115 and 116 of the latest results respectively.

The province also reached a new vaccination milestone, administering a record 256,260 doses on Friday.

We aren’t getting an update from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit, which announced today they won’t be providing new case numbers on the weekends.
