A forest fire burning near the community of Naicatchewenin First Nation is being mapped at an area smaller than first thought.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says it’s now at 437 hectares, down from the 500 noted yesterday.
It is still about three kilometres from the community but has been burning away from it.
Waterbombers were used yesterday to help reduce the fire’s intensity, though the blaze remains not under control.
