Canadians Expect Christmas Will Be The Time To Celebrate

Vaccines are getting into the arms of Canadians, but still, many don’t see any real return to normalcy until Christmas.

A study by the market research firm Numerator finds 63 per cent of respondents see Christmas as the day when they can truly celebrate the holidays with family and friends.

Just 22 per cent expect a return to normalcy by this Canada Day.

A third of us take a more pessimistic view and don’t expect holiday celebrations to get back to normal until some time in 2022.

Americans are more optimistic.

Fifty-nine per cent look to July 4 as the time to celebrate.

Only 13 per cent see holidays not being ready to celebrate until next year or later.
