A Few Anglers Caught Breaking The Rules

The first weekend of fishing proved successful for a number of anglers.

For some, it was too successful.

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer report catching a few anglers on Rainy Lake and Rainy River possessing too much fish.

Others were found having illegal tackle or walleye outside the legal slot size, fishing with too many lines or fishing without a license.

No report yet from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry if there were similar charges laid against angler fishing on Canadian waters.
