The administration office at Onigaming First Nation near Nestor Falls has been damaged by fire.
It broke out at around 8 a.m. yesterday.
Members of the Onigaming Fire Department were on the scene immediately, joined by a member of the Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls Fire Department who just happened to be driving by.
They were joined later by six units and seven other firefighters from Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls.
The joint effort managed to limit the damage to an area where medical services are said to be provided.
The cause of the fire has not been revealed.
