Fort Frances CAO Attends Final Council Meeting

A final town council meeting this week for the Chief Administrative Officer for Fort Frances Doug Brown.

He’s retiring after an 18-year career with the town.

Mayor June Caul offered her thanks to the outgoing CAO during Monday’s virtual meeting.

“Thanks for all that you have done for the town of Fort Frances during the 18 years you have been here. You have really improved situations here so much with your work ethic and your diligence in taking care of business,” said Caul.

Brown was hired in 2003 to head the town’s public works department after working for several years in a similar position in Marathon.

The former Atikokan resident became the CAO in 2016.

Brown’s official last day is May 21.
