The Northwestern Health Unit reports eight new positives.
One of those cases is in the Rainy River District, that being in Emo.
The other seven are in the Kenora region.
The active case down is down to 62 from 75 reported on Wednesday.
Eleven of the cases are in Fort Frances area, six in the Rainy River health hub and three around Emo.
There are two people in hospital with the virus, but the Health Unit does not state where.
A total of 31,122 vaccine doses have been administered.
The case numbers went up across Ontario with 3,424 cases and 26 COVID-related deaths.
The province did record a new one-day high for vaccines with 141,038 doses administered.
There was another death related to the virus in Koochiching County.
The Minnesota department of health identifies the person as being someone 80 to 84 years old.
They are the fifteenth person from the County to have died related to the virus.
Thirty-eight cases are active there after three new ones yesterday.
