Cases Connected To Schools And A Church In Emo

There are two cases of COVID-19 connected to schools in the Emo area.

The Rainy River District School Board says both cases at Donald Young School and Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program are staff members.

Anyone who was a close contact has been contacted by the Northwestern Health Unit through its contact tracing.

They are the first school-related cases in the district in over a month.

Meantime, another case in the Emo area is being linked to a church.

In a Facebook message, the Calvary Baptist Church reported a member of its congregation contracted the virus, with several others reported being sick.

The Church stated some were awaiting COVID testing.

The Church held an outdoor service a week ago on the grounds of the Sturgeon Creek Alternative Program school.
