The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting three new confirmed cases of COIVD-19, all of which are from the Sioux Lookout health hub region.
Despite the new cases, Tuesday is a good day for numbers related to the novel coronavirus within the NWHU catchment area.
They say that there are currently 43 active cases across the region, which is down from 62 on Monday.
20 of the active cases are in the Sioux Lookout area, 13 are in the Kenora health hub, nine in Dryden and one in Fort Frances.
The number of resolved cases is up from 651 to 674, while the number of those currently hospitalized for COVID-19 is down from seven to four.
A total of 12,199 doses of vaccine have been administered to date.
In the Thunder Bay area, only one new case of COVID-19 was reported on Tuesday.
