Premier Hints At Possible Lockdown Announcement

The emergency break may be slammed on all of Ontario again.

Premier Doug Ford says he won’t hesitate to lock things down with COVID-19 cases surging across the province.

“Don’t make plans for Easter. That’s what I can tell you. I won’t hesitate to lock things down if we have to. I did it before. I’ll do it again. Nothing’s more important than our health. Economy? Yes, it’s important, but that can wait. You can’t have a healthy economy without healthy people,” says Ford.

Over 23-hundred new cases were reported provincewide yesterday, with over one thousand people in hospital, nearly 400 in ICU.

“(I’m) extremely concerned about the situation that we’re seeing and the numbers going up. I’m also very concerned about seeing the age group, the younger people, now in ICU. Everything is on the table right now. So folks, be prepared,” warns the Premier.

Ford hints he will be out with an announcement later this week.

He notes we’re almost there. We just have to be vigilant.
