Spring Break Could Be Impacted Again By COVID

Ontario’s Public Health Officials are watching it closely.

No decision yet on whether to again postpone the March break which was moved to April because of the pandemic.

Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr David Williams they are monitoring the situation.

“Still two to three weeks off…as we noted today, things can change pretty quickly on the upswing,” states Dr Williams.

“We’ve seen some places come back down again as we put down some limitations there. So we’re going to be really looking at it closely to make some assessments.”

Dr. Williams notes most outbreak in schools has been limited to one of two cases when COVID is identified.

Premier Doug Ford was also none committal when asked if the province was looking at changing the spring break dates again.

The spring break is scheduled to start April 12.
