Canada has reached out to the United States for help procuring COVID-19 vaccines.
Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Wednesday that the request for assistance is under consideration though nothing has been agreed upon yet.
Psaki maintains that priority number one for President Joe Biden is to get every American vaccinated before helping other nations.
The press secretary adds the White House knows how crucial it is to get as many people around the world as possible vaccinated to bring the pandemic under control.
A Bloomberg News report suggests Canada and Mexico will be at the top of the U.S. list when it comes to sharing doses.
