Changes To Visiting Policy Made By Riverside

With our region in the Red-Control level of the provincial COVID-19 Response Framework, Riverside Health Care has changed its visitation policy at its long-term care facilities.

All short-term and temporary absences are cancelled except for medical appointments.

No visitors are allowed – the exception for essential and palliative visits.

Long-term care residents are permitted one designated caregiver. That person must undergo COVID-19 testing. It includes one PCR test and one rapid test within a seven-day period, but not on consecutive days. Only one test is required if the caregiver is visiting once a week.

There are no changes to visitor restrictions at any of Riverside’s hospitals.
