Travel Restrictions In Place At Riverside Facilities

Riverside Health Care is implementing restrictions on anyone entering any of its facilities.

If you travelled outside of the Rainy River district recently, you need to isolate yourself for seven days before visiting any long-term care facility.

You will also need proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

It will be a 14-day quarantine before visiting LaVerendrye Hospital.

“The decision to implement new travel restrictions across our organization was made after careful consideration, and we ask for your understanding as we navigate these changes,” says Riverside’s Executive Vice President, Clinical Services & CNE, Julie Loveday. “With the increase of cases in the region, we will continue to take the necessary steps to keep our residents, patients, clients and staff safe.”

Exceptions may be made for visits of palliative patients on a case-by-case basis.

If you’ve been outside of Canada, you also are subject to a 14-day isolation before visiting.

Riverside does offer virtual visiting opportunities with long-term care residents and acute in-patients.
