The SIJHL is comfortable waiting to resume the 2020-2021 season.
In an email to Acadia Broadcasting, Commissioner Darrin Nicholas says the current situation is making it more difficult to envision a resumption of the campaign, but there’s no rush to make a final call. The league needs the colour to be orange or lower to look at re-launching.
Nicholas sympathizes with the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, who decided to pull the plug on the remainder of their season back on February 12.
The MJHL was the first Junior ‘A’ League in the country to start play back in October.
