Police Warn Of Changing Ice Conditions

Treaty Three Police are advising the public to be aware of changing ice conditions following the rescue of a man near Mitaanigaming last week.

He was found after officers followed tracks on an ice road that led to slush.

An officer eventually located the man on a nearby shore, also surrounded by slush.

Police say caution should be exercised by anyone who ventures onto ice-covered bodies of water and be mindful that conditions can vary at any time and any location.
