It’s a big milestone for the provincial COVID-19 vaccination plan, as health officials announce Ontarians have received 200,000 doses.
In its daily update, Ontario also confirmed that 3,422 people are testing positive for COVID-19 across Ontario, and 69 more people have died from the virus.
There are nine more COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay District, and two more people in the hospital for symptoms.
Two of the new infections are part of the Thunder Bay District Jail outbreak, and one is a staff member at Southbridge Roseview.
Another person was infected through close contact and three others are still under investigation.
Three are from a First Nation community.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit’s official total for today includes two from the Valard Construction outbreak already announced yesterday afternoon. They are also confirming two deaths announced by Southbridge Roseview Saturday morning.
The current active case count for the TBDHU is 87.
