Our borders continue to be busy places despite travel restrictions impacting most people.
Ontario’s borders have processed more than 218-thousand commercial vehicles between January and October of this year.
Another 35-hundred trains have also been processed.
Officers with Canada Border Services in Fort Frances have processed much of that train traffic.
Officers also continue to thwart efforts to bring in illegal firearms and drugs across our borders.
Even with restrictions in place, a total of 38 firearms were seized at Ontario borders this year.
There have also 129 drug seizures, resulting in more than half-a-million dollars of illegal drugs being found.
