A tragic holiday weekend in International Falls.
One person has died after a house fire Saturday on County Road 2 North.
The victim has been identified as 79-year-old Sandra Long.
A second person, a 58-year-old woman, was taken to Rainy Lake Medical Center before airlifted to another hospital with what was described as serious injuries.
Emergency personal found her outside the home as they arrived on the scene.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Koochiching County Sheriff’s Office and the State’s Fire Marshall’s Office.
