Caseload Continues To Increase Outside Rainy River District

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting seven new cases.

There are now 78 active ones in that region.

All caught the virus by coming into close contact with someone who has it.

Meantime, Ontario is reporting 1,589 more cases of COVID-19, another single day record.

The Northwestern Health Unit continues to an increase of COVID-19 cases in the Kenora area.

Five more cases reported yesterday. Twenty-one are active.

One of those cases is confirmed at St. Thomas Aquinas School, a catholic high school.

Five new cases reported in Minnesota’s Koochiching County as well.

They are part of the more than 6,500 identified across the state.

That brings the County’s total count to 332.

At last report, more than 80 were active.

There were also six new cases reported in Lake of the Woods County.
