Premier Frustrated By COVID-19 Increases

Premier Doug Ford is calling out those who think COVID-19 doesn’t exist and everything is fine.

A single-day record for deaths province-wide was recorded Wednesday at 32.

An emotional Ford used his daily briefing to say ‘smarten up!’

“I’m at my brink to say enough. So be prepared on Friday. Then you can look at each other and say, ‘why are we in this position?’ We have to start listening. No more parties. No more nothing or this is going to be 6,000 cases a day,” says Ford.

A total of 1,417 cases was reported Wednesday, with a majority of them in Toronto, York and Peel Regions.

“I’m done with people holding parties, having get-togethers. Unfortunately, everyone in those regions has to hunker down. They end up paying the price because careless people out there holding these parties,” says Ford.

New restrictions are expected to come down Friday, but reports say it will be on a regional basis.
