Walking Track Opens

The walking track at the Memorial Sports Centre opens today.

It will be available from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. on weekdays only.

You also have to book an appointment.

A seven-dollar cleaning fee, which other facility users pay, will also be applied to walking track users. The fee is applied against each user once per month. Traditionally, the track has been free to use.

There are other rules to follow. Users gain access by taking the west staircase to the 52 Canadians rink. Walkers must go in a counter-clockwise direction while adhering to physical distancing requirements.

Masks are mandatory until you get on the track. They must be put back on when leaving, which is down the southeasternmost stairs and out the main doors of the Memorial Sports Centre.
