United Way Support For Area Groups

The United Way of Thunder Bay is providing some help to a couple of organizations in the Rainy River district.

The Alzheimer’s Society of Kenora/Rainy River is getting two-thousand dollars to create activity kits, used by people living with dementia.

Atikokan’s Pioneer Centre will use $3,500 on a Telephone Check-In Service which makes calls to local seniors to help reduce social isolation.

Canadian Mental Health Association’s Fort Frances Branch is receiving $7,500 to improve on their ability to provide mental health services virtually to seniors in Atikokan, Sioux Lookout, Dryden and Fort Frances.
