It seems Ontario is starting to turn the corner when it comes to COVID-19.
The province recorded only 230 new cases on Tuesday, the lowest increase in ten weeks.
The Northwestern Health Unit’s Acting Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ian Gemmill says we are doing a good job of protecting ourselves in this region.
“I don’t see evidence of lots of local transmission going on. As a matter of fact, the contrary,” says Dr. Gemmill. “That’s in spite of the fact we had a spate of cases this weekend and a couple of weeks ago we had three cases.”
As of Tuesday, there have been 22 cases in Kenora-Rainy Region, three most recently in the Kenora area.
