Fort Frances Muskies unbeaten streak in NorWOSSA boys hockey is over.

The Muskies lost for the first time in 11 games yesterday, falling 2-1 to the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints in Kenora.

Nolan Mann scored the Muskies lone goal.

 

Both the Muskies boys and girls teams hit the ice this morning for the Scott Clendenning Showcase.

It’s the first time that a boys division has been included in the local tournament.

The Muskies boys team opens with a game against Dryden at 9:45 a.m. at the Ice for Kids Arena.

The girls face Thomas Aquanis at the 52 Canadians Rink at 10:30 a.m.

 

The Muskies court teams ended their regular seasons by splitting games with the Dryden Eagles.

The senior boys basketball team ended with a perfect season following an 87-41 win.

The senior girls volleyball team also finishing 9-0 with a sweep of the Eagles.

The juniors boys basketball team fell into a first-place tie with Dryden after losing 46-33 but gave up top spot on a tie-breaker.

The junior girls volleyball team finishes with a 4-5 record after losing two games to one to Dryden.

 

Justin Besch scored three times at the International Falls Broncos boys hockey team defeated the Lake of the Woods Bears 6-2.

The boys basketball team lost to Cherry 64-51.
