A Thunder Bay-based company has been awarded the contract to fix up a section of Scott Street in Fort Frances this summer.
Makkinga Construction was the lowest of four bids considered by town council this past week, coming in at just over $5-million.
The work calls for a reconstruction of Scott between Colonization Road East and Reid Avenue and will be completed over two years.
The first phase will include the replacement of water, sewer and storm sewer lines this year.
Final paving and sidewalk replacement will be done in 2021.
