Sabaskong Man Now Facing Murder Charge

OPP have upgraded a charge against a 28-year-old Sabaskong man.

Larry “Junior” Melvin Duck has been charged with murder in connection with a May 2019 incident.

That’s when the body of 42-year-old Clayton Bob of Big Island First Nation was found alongside a road at Onagaming First Nation.

Duck was initially charged with aggravated assault and released with conditions.

But when he failed to comply with those conditions last October, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

He was eventually arrested Sunday.

His original charge was also upgraded based on the findings of a post-mortem exam completed earlier this month in Toronto.

The cause of death was not released.

Duck remains in custody following a court hearing yesterday in Kenora.
