New Catholic School Opens Today

It’s back to school for students across the Rainy River district today.

For catholic students in Fort Frances, it’s to a new school.

The St. Mary School finally opens its doors.

It will be home to about 400 students who began the school year at St. Michael’s or St. Francis Schools.

It also houses a new child care centre run by the Rainy River District School Services Administration Board.

There’s also new Kiss and Ride procedures with parents to enter and exit Flinders Avenue using Second Street West only.

An official opening of the new school is planned for a later date.
