Hallway medicine was a major topic of discussion at Queen’s Park in 2019 and will likely to remain one in 2020.
The leader of the NDP sees it only getting worse.
Andrea Horwath says whatever funding hospitals received is actually below inflation.
“Which in real terms means a cut. So for hospitals that are already trying to provide the services that people need and deserve they’re being cut yet again by this government,” says Horwath.
Horwath says she’s also waiting on the announcement of new long term beds announced last year to actually take hold.
