Dudley Planning Continues

The planning for the Dudley-Hewitt Cup in Fort Frances continues.

It will take place at the end of next April.

Co-chair Larry Patrick says having hosted the event in 2015 has helped with that planning.

“So we’re basically taking that template and modifying it somewhat for 2020. But the key is, and I stress, a volunteer pool of committed, passionate people and that we have. So we are off to the races,” says Patrick.

Patrick says more sponsorship is one area they are still working on.

“Sponsorships are huge. We definitely need some help in that area. I know the business community of Fort Frances and district, our neighboring communities, always come to the plate and help us out.”

Patrick adds much of the logistics are in place including ensuring accommodations and meals for participating teams.

One of the new things will be a banquet to be held prior to the teams hitting the ice.
