The Ford government is making more changes to the provincial curriculum.
This time to the Grade 10 Career Studies Course.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce explains it will focus on careers in high-growth industries such as the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
He says with a youth unemployment rate remaining “stubbornly high we must ,as public policy makers, ensure we are better aligning our curriculum with the labour market.”
The revised course will also teach students in the province, financial management skills including, budgeting, paying bills and the value of credit.
