Local Sports Report For Friday, June 28

Tanner Williamson of Fort Frances scored a third-place finish while racing in the mid-west modified feature at Winnipeg’s Red River Co-op Speedway last night.

Former Emo resident Christopher Leek was 11th.

This week Emo Speedway will have a double-race weekend with action taking place Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

 

A strong supporter of go-karting in the area will be remembered tonight at Emo Speedway.

Borderland Kart Racing will hold its first ever Chuck Lambert Memorial.

Lambert was a fixture of go-karting events at Emo before his tragic death four years ago.

The racing begins at 7 p.m.

Spectators are welcome and there’s no charge to attend.

 

Just a single game played in the Rainy River District Women’s Fastball League last night.

The Mud Dogs beating Manitou.
