Tbaytel continues its rollout of 5G cell service in the Rainy River District.
Crews will be in Rainy River next week and Crozier a week later.
As part of the upgrade, the 3G will be shut down, resulting in customers experiencing degraded service and intermittent outages of voice, text and data service.
Users will still be able to call 911 if necessary.
Tbaytel suggests that customers enable Wi-Fi calling before the work starts.
Tbaytel acquired additional radio frequency in 2023 to allow for the move to the faster service.
