Celebrate Something & Rally Around Someone

In my last blog post I mentioned that my favourite part about living here in The Borderland is the fact that there is ALWAYS something going on.

Well now I’ll be more specific…There’s always something to celebrate and there’s always someone to rally around.

On June 6th alone…

There was another fantastic outdoor concert in Rainy Lake Square. Thanks so much to the incredibly talented and personable Rae Spoon for sharing your message and your inspiring music with us during Pride Week!

TD Bank in Fort Frances has hit a landmark anniversary. They’ve been serving our area for 105 years! The open their door today to share memories and experiences and delicious food from Tess’ Kitchen! I’ve been lucky to know some of the amazing staff at TD over the years. From the moment I moved here they have always been wonderfully warm and friendly.

One of our local community members is battling cancer. So their friends family and loved ones organized a benefit dinner to help offset some of the cost associated with having to travel out of town for treatment. The penne pasta with meatballs were tasty and the number of people who filled Knox United Church was heartwarming! This community always comes out to support our own!
