D-Day Remembered

D-Day ceremonies are taking place at Juno Beach in France.

It’s where Canadian soldiers came to shore on this day in 1944 as part of an Allied invasion to push back the Germans from occupied France.

359 Canadians would die that day.

A group representing the 908 Rainy Lake Royal Canadian Air Cadets Squadron are among the estimated 30-thousand people in attendance.
