An investigation has been launched into a horrible case of animal cruelty in the Dryden area.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is involved after a viral video surfaced on social media on the weekend showing two young males attacking a beaver on a road.
The video shows the pair throwing what appears to be rocks at the animal, eventually knocking it completely out.
One person later stomps on its head.
A young female is also shown filming the incident, at times laughing.
She ends the video post by asking them to stop as one person is seen picking up the beaver with intentions of tossing it off the road.
