Canadian Patients to Travel Stateside for CT Scans

A new CT Scanner is coming to LaVerendrye Hospital in Fort Frances.

It is the result of a recent Riverside Foundation for Health Care campaign called Picture This, which raised over $1.7 million for new equipment in the hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Installation of the new CT Scanner will begin on September 23.

While the work takes place, patients needing CT Scans will be transported to Rainy River Medical Centre.

Patients will need to bring their passports and proof of their vaccination status with them.
