Lake of the Woods District Hospital is reporting a COVID-19 outbreak.
At this time the outbreak is only affecting one unit.
Hospital staff are currently trying to determine the source of the outbreak.
In the meantime the hospital says it’s working with the Northwestern Health Unit on effective control measures.
Because of the outbreak hospital-wide visitor restrictions have been implemented.
The restriction went into effect as of Tuesday, August 30th at 1:00 pm until further notice.
Limited exceptions may apply to end of the life patients as well as other extenuating circumstances.
Any exceptions will be determined by the unit manager or delegate.
