Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning for the Atikokan, Shebandowan and Quetico Park areas.
Meteorologists are tracking a weather system they say has the potential of producing a possible tornado.
Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.
At the same time, several thunderstorm watch is also in place for several communities between Atikokan and Rossport, including Upsala, Thunder Bay, Whitefish Lake and Arrow Lake.
Large hail, damaging winds, and torrential rainfall are possible in the area affected.
