Bachynski and Beernaert win 35th KBI

Adam Bachynski and Andrew Beernaert are now two-time champs of the Kenora Bass International.

The tandem from Kenora and Winnipeg led all three days and finished with a KBI record of 58.67 pounds.

Beernaert says it’s sweet to win it again.

“All the hard work has paid off,” Beernaert said after the third day weigh-ins.

“We try to win every year. It’s not easy, so it feels good.”

They won over $18,000 for finishing first.

Connor Burton and Jeff Engstrom were second at 57.23 pounds and Paul and Coel Forsyth were third at 56.02 pounds.
