4 seek vacant Atikokan council seat

A special meeting will take place next month to consider a candidate to fill a vacancy on Atikokan council.

Council, which opted to appoint someone, has four names to choose from.

A meeting on February 3rd will give council time to hear from the four candidates before making their selection.

The successful candidate will be sworn into office at night.

The vacancy was created by the resignation of Kristi-Lynn McQuay last month.

The individuals who filed their application papers before last Friday’s deadline are Haylee Foy, Tyson Gareau, Alacia Henderson and Sarah Lyons.
