Celine Dion is cancelling her remaining concerts for 2023 and into the spring of 2024, due to an ongoing medical condition.
A news release states the remaining shows of her ‘Courage World Tour’ will not be going ahead.
It adds that Celine is still being treated for a diagnosed medical treatment that prevents her from performing.
Dion was on stage for the first 52 dates of the North American tour before the pandemic., but the tour was then paused in March 2020. Since then Dion revealed she has been diagnosed with a rare condition called Stiff Person’s Syndrome, which causes severe and persistent muscle spasms. Her team is continuing to treat and evaluate the condition.
“Celine is working hard on her recovery, but at this time is unable to successfully prepare for and perform the remainder of the tour,” the release states.
“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again… and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything until I’m really ready to be back on stage… I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!” Dion says in the new release.
Tickets for the 42 cancelled concert dates will be refunded.
